OS X environment

OS X is an operating system based on the UNIX programming language, this was something that I wasn't aware of whilst considering giving OS X Tiger a try however I was pleased to hear this because from what I understand, UNIX is renowned for its stability and is used Globally in a wide range of computing environments including Servers and Multi-user Workstations.

No working knowledge of UNIX is required to enjoy the benefits of OS X Tiger due to Apples Aqua interface, however for the programming expert (which unfortunately I am not) there is an option to delve into UNIX itself. The Graphical User Interface (GUI) of OS X is very user-friendly and nicely presented, this consists of six elements decribed in a Blog entry posted earlier today.
